Cadbury’s chocolate has been around since 1831; only not in the form we know it today. It was first used in drinking chocolate and cocoa, as most chocolate was when it first was introduced. Since then it has quickly grown in popularity and now Cadbury’s seems to be the UK’s most popular chocolate.
What Makes Cadbury’s so special?
Cadbury’s chocolate is well known for its extremely sweet, melt in the mouth taste, and it really does stand out from all other chocolate brands. However, it wasn’t until ‘Cadbury’s Dairy Milk’ came out that people really started to take notice.
Cadbury’s Dairy Milk was first produced in 1905 and since then it has come a long way! It started off with plain milk chocolate flavour, but today there are tons of flavours all waiting to be discovered! These include:
• Fruit and Nut
• Caramel
• Turkish Delight
• Whole Nut
• Orange
• Bubbly
• Mint
• Wafer
• Crispies
So, as you can see there really are plenty of flavours to choose from! New flavours are constantly being introduced so who knows what will be available in years to come?
You do not only have to enjoy the chocolate straight out of the wrapper, there are loads of recipes you can use Cadburys chocolate in. So, whether you are making party food, biscuits and cookies, hot puddings or chocolate cakes, you can be sure that Cadburys Dairy milk will really add that extra special, delicious ingredient!
The packaging of Cadbury’s chocolate has also changed quite a lot and new packaging has been introduced over the years, including in 1997 when the Spice Girls were the best thing since sliced bread. There were ten different spice girls packaging with alternating images for each spice girl. At Christmas that year there was also a special chocolate assortment named after the spice girls including ginger hazelnut, posh truffle, baby fudge, scary nougat and sporty caramel. It was in 2003 that Cadbury’s expanded and added a wider range for its customers to enjoy.
Cadbury’s has been so successful that it even has its own Cadburys world where millions of people flock to every single year.
Overall, Cadburys chocolate is by far the most popular brand of chocolate around today. No doubt it will continue to grow in popularity as more and more flavours are introduced and as technologies advance. Cadbury’s chocolate is always being updated and improved, though it is hard to think about how much creamier than it is now, the chocolate could actually become.
